Abstract
Financial well-being is very important in life where it shows the condition of an individual having a healthy state financially and free from various kinds of worries related to finance. There are two main dimensions of financial well-being, namely financial stress and future financial security. This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy, income level and lifestyle on financial well-being in Surabaya City, Gresik Regency and Sidoarjo Regency. The number of respondents from this study was 200 respondents with the criteria of having a total family income of at least Rp. 5,000,000 per month, individuals aged 25-55 years and domiciled in Surabaya City, Gresik Regency, and Sidoarjo Regency. The sampling technique used non-random (non-probabilistic), namely purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique used in this research is SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square) using the Smart PLS 3.0 program. The results of this study explain that financial literacy has no significant positive effect on financial well-being, income level has no significant positive effect on financial well-being, lifestyle has a significant positive effect on financial well-being, internal locus of control has a significant positive effect on financial well-being, and locus of control does not significantly mediate the effect of financial literacy on financial well-being.
