Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify the perception of accounting student about the factors which differentiate of career selection. Factors influencing the slection of career are measured by variable finansial rewards, professional training, professional recognition, social values, work environment, job market consideration and personality. The object of this research were accounting student at STIE Perbanas in Surabaya. There were 150 students participating as respondent. Data analysis of this research using multinomial logit with SPSS version 17. The result of the research show that professional training variable have significant effect on career selection of accounting student, however financial reward, professional recognition, social values, work environment, job market consideration and personality variables do not have significant effect on career selection of accounting student.
