Abstract

Banks are financial institutions whose main activity is to collect funds from the public and channel these funds back to the public in the form of credit or other service. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Investing Policy Ratio (IPR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Problem Earning Assets (APB), Interest Rate Ratio (IRR), Net Foreign Exchange Position (PDN), Operating Expenses and Operating Income (BOPO), and Fee Based Income Ratio (FBIR) to Return on Assets (ROA) simultaneously and partially. The Period in this study is from the first quarter, 2017 to the second quarter, 2021. The subject of this research is the Foreign Exchange National Private Commercial Bank. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely the BNP Paribas Indonesian Bank, Shinhan Indonesian Bank, and Commonwealth Bank. This type of data uses secondary research and data collection is documentary. The analysis used is multiple linear regression. The results of the study explain that 1) LDR, IPR, NPL, APB, IRR, PDN, BOPO, and FBIR simultaneously have a significant effect on ROA. 2) LDR and FBIR partially have a significant positive effect on ROA. 3) IPR and PDN partially have an insignificant negative effect on ROA. 4) NPL and IRR partially have an insignificant positive effect on ROA. 5) BOPO and APB partially have a significant negative effect on ROA, and 6) BOPO is the most dominant variable on ROA.
