Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of financial knowledge and number of dependents on financial welfare. This study uses data from 351 respondents who were taken by online surveys in the Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Gresik areas. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The analytical technique used is the structural model equation method using the SmartPLS 3 program. The results of this study are financial knowledge has a significant positive effect, while the number of dependents has no significant positive effect, and financial management behavior significantly mediates the effect of financial knowledge on financial welfare. The managerial implication is that if the family wants to improve their financial welfare, it can be done by increasing their financial knowledge while being able to manage family finances properly and correctly.
