Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether good corporate governance and credit risk affects the financial performance of banks. In this study, good corporate governance uses the indicators of the board of commissioners, the board of directors, and the audit committee. Credit risk is measured using NPL (Non-Performing Loan), and banking financial performance is measured using ROA. The data analysis technique in the research uses multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing, classification assumption test, and descriptive analysis, also this test uses SPSS version 26. The population in this study are banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2020. The sampling technique in this study used the purposive sampling method so that 101 data samples were ready to be tested. The results of this study are good corporate governance, with indicators of the board of directors and the audit committee having an effect on financial performance. In contrast, good corporate governance with hands of the board of commissioners does not affect financial performance. Credit risk has a negative effect on financial performance.
