Abstract

This study aims to examine and determine specifically the effect of the variables involved, namely the order of evidence (good news followed by bad news and bad news followed by good news) and information complexity type (simple and complex) on the End of Sequence on accept or reject project decisions. The experimental design used in this study is a 2 x 2 factorial between subject design that manipulates the independent variables of the order of evidence (good news followed by bad news and bad news followed by good news) and information complexity type (simple and complex). Participants in this study were students of accounting study program at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas Surabaya with the total 150 participants. This study uses the normality test, and the Kruskall-Wallis H test. The results of this study indicate that the simple information can cause no order effect when it presented on End of Sequence (EoS) pattern in long information series and while the complex information shows a recency effect when it presented on End of Sequence (EoS) pattern in long information series. Keywords : End of Sequence; Project Decision Making; Accept or Reject Project Decision; Belief Adjustment Model; Presentation Pattern ; Information Series.
