Abstract

Islamic banking is a form of financial institution that provides banking services with differently from conventional banking, those are using Islamic laws. In its operations, Islamic banking is based on fatwas matters produces by institutions with special mandatory to run sharia laws. This study aims to determine the effect of liquidity, asset quality and efficiency toward profitability of Islamic Banks. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method with data analysis technique using multiple linear regression. The data source is the financial statements of all Islamic banks in Indonesia but using samples of three unit of Islamic banks. The data is calculated based on the quarterly financial statements of each sampled banks. The results showed that there are four variables that have a significant effect on profitability, namely IPR, NPF, REO and IGA, which of these variables are in line with the theory, namely the NPF and IGA variables. Simultaneously, the F test showed that FDR, IPR, NPF, APB, REO and IGA had a significant effect on ROA. Keywords: Profitability, Asset Quality, Efficiency, Sharia.
