Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of liquidity, solvency, activity, and firm size on profitability in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2016-2020 period. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a sample of 35 companies. The data analysis method used is multiple linear analysis (MRA) using the SPSS 25 for windows program. The results of this study state that simultaneously liquidity, solvency, activity, and firm size have a significant effect on profitability in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2016-2020 period. Partially liquidity does not have a significant effect on profitability, partially solvency has a negative and significant effect on profitability, partially activity has a positive and significant effect on profitability, and partially firm size has a positive and significant effect on profitability.
