Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, leverage, price earning ratio, and market to book value of assets on stock returns in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2020. This type of research is quantitative or data in the form of numbers or numeric. The data was obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique with certain criteria, so that 74 data were obtained as research samples. The data analysis method used multiple linear regression analysis, statistical descriptive test, classical assumption test consisting of normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test, as well as model feasibility test, coefficient of determination test, and partial test. Based on the results of the study, it shows that profitability has an effect on stock returns, while leverage, price earning ratio, and market to book value of assets have no effect on stock returns.
