Abstract
In order to overcome non performing loans, there have actually been many efforts that have been made by the government as well as efforts made by credit providers to prevent the emergence of non performing loans. However, these various policies have not been able to eliminate the existence of non performing loans. This study aims to find out how to classify the collectibility of non performing loans, the process of handling non performing loans, the obstacles faced when dealing with non performing loans, and how to deal with existing obstacles. The research method design used is descriptive research design with data collection methods using observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the grouping of credit collectibility is in accordance with the regulations of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), namely No. 29/POJK.05/2014, the obstacles faced in dealing with non-performing loans, and the way the bank deals with the various obstacles that exist in dealing with the problem of non-performing loans.
