Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The independent variables used in this study are Return On Equity (ROE), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Operating Costs on Operating Income (BOPO). While the dependent variable in this study is the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). The data used in this study is quarterly data for the period 2016 to 2020. This study uses a population of all publicly traded private national foreign exchange banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a total of 43 banks and determines the sample using the purposive sampling method so as to obtain a sample of 30 banking companies that meet these criteria. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear analysis. The results of this study provide evidence that Net Interest Margin (NIM) and Loan to Deposit ratio (LDR) have a positive effect on Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) while Return On Equity (ROE) and Operating Costs on Operating Income (BOPO) have no effect on Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR).
