Abstract
Return is a reward for the courage of investors in taking the risk of their investments. Stock return is the result of profits obtained by investors from stock investment activities carried out. Stock returns can be in the form of realized returns that have occurred or expected returns that have not occurred but are expected to occur in the future. This study aims to analyze the effect of firm size, inflation rate, interest rates, and exchange rates on stock returns of consumer goods industrial companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016 - 2019. The population and samples used in this study were all food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016 - 2019. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques with SPSS 24 software. The results showed that the variables of firm size, inflation rate, and interest rates had no effect on stock returns, while the exchange rate variable had no effect on stock returns.
