Abstract
UPT Balai Latihan Kerja Surabaya is an agency under the auspices of the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of East Java Province which carries out competency-based training programs. Payroll accounting system UPT Balai Latihan Kerja Surabaya involves functions related to the payroll accounting system, Documents in the payroll accounting system, Payroll Accounting Records, Procedures in Payroll and Components in payroll. However, there are problems that often occur, such as payroll management is not carried out by the payroll department. Knowing these problems, the purpose of this study is to find out the payroll accounting system that is applied to employees of the UPT Balai Latihan Kerja Surabaya. The method used to obtain payroll data is to conduct interviews and documentation. From the resulting data, it will be described in a qualitative descriptive manner. The findings obtained, such as in the time recording function and procedures for making employee salaries, are not carried out in accordance with their duties or parts. With this, to minimize the occurrence of errors in making employee salaries, it should be done in accordance with the Job Description.
