Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio, Return On Assets, Loan to Deposit Ratio and credit growth on Non Performing Loans at National Private Commercial Banks. This research data comes from the financial statements of the National Foreign Exchange Private Commercial Banks that have been published during the 2016-2020 period. This study uses purposive sampling with criteria that have been determined by the researcher, so the sample included in the criteria is 30 banks. The data used is secondary data by collecting all the required data through financial statements according to the sample and period used. Technical analysis of the data in this study using multiple linear regression analysis accompanied by descriptive tests, classical assumption test for data normality test, and continued with hypothesis testing. This study shows that the data is normally distributed after performing outliers twice, which initially was 150 data, reduced to 134 data. The results of this study indicate that the Return On Assets and Loan to Deposit Ratio variables have an effect on Non Performing Loans. Meanwhile, the variables of Capital Adequacy Ratio and credit growth have no effect on Non Performing Loans.
