Abstract
PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (“Bank Jatim”) is a company engaged in banking finance where in managing business activities, the company serves credit applications intended for small and medium entrepreneurs in the trade and service industries for business development through additional capital. work and investment. This study aims to find out: The application of the 5C principle, the process of granting a credit card, the obstacles/obstacles in the application of the 5C principle, as well as efforts to overcome the obstacles in the application of the 5C principle. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. From the results of the study, the application of the 5C principle is considered to have been very effective in knowing whether or not credit is appropriate for prospective debtors, the constraints experienced are collateral / guarantees for prospective debtors which sometimes do not meet the criteria, as well as the efforts made to tighten in granting credit in accordance with procedures. The conclusion of this study is that the granting of credit for Pundi Kencana and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur KCP Sooko Mojokerto has complied with the procedure for granting credit.
