Abstract

Banks are financial institutions that accept deposits and distribute credit to the public. The bank has three main activities, namely, collecting and channeling funds and performing other financial services. The purpose of this study was to examine and examine the influence of the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Investing Policy Ratio (IPR), Interest Rate Ratio (IRR), Net Open Position (Posisi Devisa Neto/PDN), Non Performing Loans (NPL), Problematic Earning Assets (Aset Produktif Bermasalah/APB). Operational Expenses and Operating Income (BOPO), Fee Based Income Ratio (FBIR) to Return On Equity (ROE) simultaneously or partially. The subject of this research is the Regional Development Bank. This research period is from the first quarter of 2015 to the second quarter of 2020. This study used purposive sampling. BPD Central Java, BPD West Sumatra and BPD North Sumatra were selected as sample banks in this study. The results of this study explain that 1) LDR, IPR, NPL, APB, IRR, PDN, BOPO, FBIR simultaneously have a significant effect on ROE; 2) LDR, IPR, NPL, IRR, PDN and BOPO partially have a negative and insignificant effect on ROE; 3) APB and FBIR partially have a positive and insignificant effect on ROE; 4) The most dominant variable is NPL.
