Abstract
Debt policy is a policy taken by management in order to obtain financing sources from outside the company so that it can be used to finance the company's operational activities. This study aims to determine the effect of free cash flow, non-debt tax shield, asset structure, business risk, and investment opportunity set on debt policy. This research was conducted at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2015-2019. The number of samples used in this study were 82 manufacturing companies using purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that the free cash flow, non-debt tax shield, and business risk have effect on debt policy. Meanwhile, the asset structure and investment opportunity set have no effect on debt policy.
