Abstract
The research aims to analyse differences in financial performance before and after merger and acquisition . The financial performance used in the research are ratio profitability, activity, liquidity and solvency. The populations in the research is all go public companies which did merger and acquisition about 2007-2011. The sample in the research as 26 sample of companies. The analysis method used parametric statistic test that is paired sample t-test. The result show that no significant differences from financial performance that measuring whit Return on equity (ROE), Total Asset turnover (TATO), Curent Ratio (CR) and Debt to equity Ratio (DER) before and after one year period of merger or acquisition and before and after two year period of merger or acquisition. The result of research indicates economical purpose that merger and acquisition did is to get synergy does not reached.
