Abstract

This study was to examine the effect of working capital management, liquidity, leverage and firm size on the profitability of pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. This study uses a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used in this study is the documentation method, namely by collecting data from complete financial reports that have been published by the company through the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), namely www.idx.co.id. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a sample of 9 companies. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 16.0 for Windows program. The results of the study state that simultaneously the management of working capital, liquidity, leverage and company size have a significant effect on profitability in pharmaceutical companies listed on the IDX. Partially, working capital management has an insignificant negative effect on profitability, partially liquidity has no significant positive effect on profitability, partially leverage has a significant negative effect on profitability, and partially firm size has no significant positive effect on profitability.
