Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of activity, firm size, leverage, liquidity, sales growth and working capital turnover on profitability. The population of this research is food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2015-2019. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling in order to obtain a sample of 16 companies and the method of analysis used was multiple linear regression. This study concludes that activity, firm size, leverage, liquidity, sales growth and working capital turnover simultaneously have a significant effect on profitability. Sales activity and growth partially have a significant effect on profitability, firm size, leverage, liquidity and working capital turnover do not partially affect profitability. Keyword : activity, capital turnover, profitability.
