Abstract
The behavior of saving is very important for the community to do. This is because the Indonesian people have consumptive behavior, especially those in big cities such as Gresik, Bangkalan, Mojokerto, Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Lamongan. This study aims to examine the relationship between gender, financial attitudes, financial knowledge and internal locus of control on saving behavior. The sample consisted of 244 respondents in the Gerbangketosusila area who were selected by means of purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was WarpPLS 7.0. It is found that the internal Locus of Control mediates the influence of Financial Knowledge on saving behavior. Financial Attitudes and Financial Knowledge have a significant positive effect on saving behavior. Meanwhile, gender has an effect but not significantly on saving behavior
