Abstract

Capital in banking is an aspect that can influence business development. This study aims to determine the effect of Efficiency (BOPO), Profitability (ROA and ROE) and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) simultaneously and partially on the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) of the National Private Foreign Exchange Public Private Conventional Go Public Bank, and which variable is more dominant. The population in this study is the National Private Foreign Exchange Public Private Bank with a sample of nine banks. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously BOPO, ROA, ROE and GCG variables have a significant effect on the CAR of the National Private Foreign Exchange Public Private Conventional Go Public Bank. Partially the BOPO variables have a significant negative effect on the CAR of the National Private Foreign Exchange Public Private Conventional Go Public Bank, while the ROA variable have a significant positive effect on the CAR of the National Private Foreign Exchange Public Private Conventional Go Public Bank, ROE variable have a negatif unsignificant effect on the CAR and GCG variable have a positive unsignificant effect on the CAR of the National Private Foreign Exchange Public Private Conventional Go Public Bank. ROA is the most dominant variable with percentage 37,5%. Banks need to pay attention to these three variables, in order to improve the ability of management bank to manage operational costs, generate profitability and be able to protect the interests of stakeholders.
