Abstract
Insurance company profit growth is influenced by many factors. This study aims at examining the influence of firm solvency, underwriting, and size on the profitability ofinsurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2018. This study uses a sample of nine insurance companies that are selected using purposive sampling method. The analysis technique in this research is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the solvency, underwriting and company size variable affects profitability. Partially, solvency has an insignificant positive effect on profitability, underwriting has a significant positive effect on profitability, and firm size has a negative effect on profitability.
