Abstract
Improvements in the banking sector needs to be immediately implemented. The observations made in this study menginfomasikan that the application of corporate governance (Good Corporate Governance) in Syariah Bank Mandiri (BSM) implemented by carrying out various efforts to improve consistency and commitment to the bank. The application of corporate governance have been implemented by the Bank based on five basic principles, namely: transparency, accountability, liability, responcibility/indenpendency/the independence and fairness/reasonableness). From the exposure that has been described in this research it can be concluded that the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in PT Surabaya branch had BSM in accordance with directives, Code of Conduct, guidelines and policies of a PT BSM Center. Therefore need to be maintained and improved. In addition, on the application of the principles of good corporate governance ( gcg ) that becomes authority bank syariah mandiri the branch of surabaya it can be good.
