Abstract
Inventory is an asset which includes goods owned by the company within a certain period that is used to facilitate production and to satisfy consumer demand can be either raw materials, goods in process and finished goods. This study discusses Planning and Analysis of Raw Material Inventory Control for Measuring The Cost of Raw Materials And Support Chicken Feed Production In PT.X, In order to this company can compete with similar companies, the company must be able to minimize production cost. The main problem often faced by this company was supply of raw material that is too much, which it will further increase the cost of raw material inventory. From the results of a study concluded that, and after analyzed with traditional method, plan and control of raw material inventory that is better used in this research is using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re Order Point (ROP), Safety Stock, and Maximum Stock. Which proved that the methods are proven to produce a total minimum cost of supplies and materials that can minimize of raw material costs. As seen in 2012 and 2013, in 2012 the company could make savings of raw material inventory cost of Rp. 1.043.750.850 and Rp. 1.011.954.600 in 2013.
