Abstract
Economic activities in Indonesia in this era of globalization has developed very rapidly. The capital market is one of the progress of economic activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving credit to the company's profitability in the banking sector which is listed on the Indonesian stock exchange.. The population in this study is a company manufacturing consumer goods industry sector listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange year period 2012-2014. The sampling method is purposive sampling with multiple criteria is obtained there are 75 companies sampled in this study. Data analysis technique in this research is descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing. The independent of this study is the giving credit and also the dependent variable of the study is the profitability. The study used linier regression to see the contribution from each independent variable influenced profitability using SPSS16.0 for windows. The results of this study are variable giving credit have a significant impact on profitability. Keywords: Profitability, Giving credit
