Abstract

Financial management is very important for families or individuals who have a goal to achieve financial welfare in the family. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of financial literacy, internal locus of control and money attitude on family financial management behavior. This research used multiple regression analysis technique with 130 respondents in Gresik. Sampling method used is puposive sampling aimed at families with family income of at least Rp 4,000,000 per month. The results of this study indicate that the financial literacy and money attitude have a negative effect but not significant on the family financial management behavior, while locus of control internal has a significant positive effect on the family financial management behavior.
