Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of intellectual capital on the financial performance and firm market value. The research is conducted by testing effect of the intellectual capital (VAICTM) as independent variable to market value (PBV) as dependent variable, and financial performance (ROA) as mediator variable. Samples of this research are annual report and financial statements for manufacturing companies that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2012-2014. Samples were selected by using purposive sampling method and 216 manufacturing companies were able to fulfill the criteria used as sample. The research data is analyzed using path analysis method. The result of regression analysis that (1) Intellectual Capital (VAICTM) has influence to the financial performance (ROA), (2) Intellectual Capital (VAICTM) has no effect on market value (PBV) and (3) the financial performance as a mediator variable able to mediate the relationship between intellectual capital and market value.
