Abstract

In the banking zone, service is much needed as a support in daily operational activities, providing service is one of the duties of Customer Service. In order to carry out its role as a service provider to customers, Customer Service at Bank Mandiri Sub Branch Office of Kupang Jaya has operational standards set by the head office. The best service provided by Customer Service is very influential on customer satisfaction when conducting banking transactions. In this case, Bank Mandiri Sub Branch Office of Kupang Jaya Company must implement operational standards set by the head office. The aims of this research at at Bank Mandiri Sub Branch Office of Kupang Jaya is to determine the role of Customer Service in improvingservice to its customers. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research by conducting open interviews with Customer Service,observation and documentation. Based on the results of this research by conducting interviews and observations show that the role of Cutomer Service in improving service to customers has been working in operational standards set by the head office and the methods used to overcome customer problems has been explaining well.
