Abstract
The Directorate General of Customs and Excise functions to carry out the collection of state taxes in the form of collection of import duties on imported goods. Import duty is the amount of money levied on imported goods taking into account the foreign currency exchange rates set by the finance minister. This study aims to determine how the collection and calculation of import duties and taxes in order to import passenger luggage from abroad. As well as to know the increase or decrease of the old policy with the new policy on the value of passenger luggage which originally FOB USD 250 to FOB USD 500. This research was conducted at KPP Customs and Excise TMP Juanda, using descriptive method that is by way of interview and direct observation. Based on the analysis conducted, the author can conclude that the collection of import duties and tax on imported goods is in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable taxation in Indonesia.
