Abstract

CAR is one of the indicators used to measure bank capital adequacy. Capital for banks is used to absorb losses originating from banking activities, and as a basis for several policies issued by Bank Indonesia. The study aims to determine whether the independent variables LDR, NPL, PDN, IRR, BOPO and FBIR both simultaneously and partially have a significant effect on CAR and which variable is the most dominant effect on CAR. This study uses secondary data taken from financial statements from the first quarter of 2013 to the second quarter of 2018 at the Government-Owned Commercial Bank. The sample consists of Bank Mandiri, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, and Bank Tabungan Negara. Data is processed using SPSS 23 and F Test to see the effect simultaneously and t test to see the effect partially. The results show that LDR, NPL, PDN, IRR, BOPO and FBIR simultaneously have a significant effect on CAR. NPL and IRR partially have no significant negative effect on CAR. LDR, BOPO, and FBIR partially have a not significant positive effect on CAR. The most dominant variable is BOPO which is 26.01 percent Keywords: Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, Credit Risk and Operational Risk
