Abstract

The Investment is an economic activity that is important in managing the company's finances. A company decides to invest because it expects benefits to be obtained in the future. Investment decisions are a matter of how company managers must allocate funds into other forms of investment that will bring benefits in the future. This study aims to examine the influence of leverage, profitability, dividend policy, and managerial ownership to investment decisions in manufacturing companies for the 2016-2018 period. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used in this research doubled linear regression. The results of data analysis shows that leverage and managerial ownership have no effect to investment decisions, while profitability and dividend policy has effect to investment decisions. Profitability has a negative and significant effect to investment decisions which means that high profitability will reduce debt and investment decisions of the company, while dividend policy has a positive and significant effect to investment decisions which means that the high amount of dividends distributed can attract shareholders to increase the proportion of shares to be invested. Keyword : investment decisions, leverage, profitability, dividend policy, managerial ownership.
