Abstract
Political connections are widely used by companies to gain profits. The benefits obtained by connected companies include the ease of getting bank loans with low interest rates, paying lower tax rates, getting direct supervision from the government, companies obtaining easier permits. The results of the study show that companies that are politically connected are not significant to the finances of politically connected companies that have better finances than companies that are not politically connected. Then the second result shows that there is no significant positive political connection to bank loans, meaning that politically connected companies have higher bank loans than companies that are not politically connected. The results released indicate that bank loans are not significant to the financial performance issued by banks that are associated with the company will not require good planning on the company's financial performance. The final results show that Bank Loans do not mediate the connection relationship to financial performance. Keywords: Political Connections, Financial Performance, and Bank Loan
