Abstract
Profitability is the bank's ability to measure the level of business efficiency that the bank wants to achieve. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquidity factors calculated using the FDR ratio, asset quality calculated using the NPF ratio, market sensitivity calculated using the PDN ratio, and efficiency calculated using the BOPO and FBIR ratios for profitability (ROA). This study aims to determine the effect of the independent variables of liquidity (FDR), asset quality (NPF), market sensitivity (PDN) and efficiency (BOPO and FBIR) on the profitability dependent variable (ROA) in the first quarter of 2013 to the second quarter of 2018 both partially and simultaneously. The sampling method is purposive sampling where the entire population of 13 Shariah Public Bank is selected based on certain criteria from Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Syariah Mandiri, and Bank Mega Syariah. In this study using data collection methods namely secondary data, analysis techniques using multiple linear regression which includes simultaneous tests and partial tests. The results of this study indicate that all independent variables of liquidity (FDR), asset quality (NPF), market sensitivity (APB), and efficiency (BOPO and FBIR) simultaneously have a significant effect on profitability (ROA). Partial liquidity variable (FDR) has no significant positive effect, asset quality (NPF) has a significant negative effect, market sensitivity (PDN) has no significant positive effect, efficiency (BOPO) has a significant negative effect, and efficiency (FBIR) has a significant positive effect on profitability (ROA). The independent variable that has the most dominant influence is efficiency (BOPO) on profitability (ROA). Key words: Profitability, Liquidity, Asset Quality, Market Sensitivity, Efficiency, and Shariah Public Bank
