Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the money attitude, religiosity influences the behavior of debt management with self control as a mediating variable in the community in Surabaya. The sample in this research was Surabaya people who had debt taken as many as 331 respondents. Data and data collection methods in this research are primary data obtained from the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive analysis and statistical analysis using the Partial Least Square (PLS) test tool, which is supported by the WarpPLS 6.0 application. The results of this research indicate that money attitude have a significant positive effect on Debt Management Behavior and Religiosity has a significant negative effect on Debt Management Behavior. The Self Control mediates a partial or partial money attitude in Debt Management Behavior. Keywords: Debt Management Behavior, Money Attitude, Religiosity, and Self Control
