Abstract
Economic development is increasing which causes banking activities to increase as well. In this case, people who work as entrepreneurs save their funds in rupiah demand deposits. Therefore, Bank Jatim has a rupiah demand deposit product that provides gyro service benefits to customers. The purpose of this research is to know the terms and conditions of opening rupiah demand deposit account, procedure and execution of opening, depositing, withdrawing and closing of rupiah demand deposit, knowing the benefit of placement of rupiah demand deposit and knowing the obstacle and alternative of settlement in rupiah giro implementation at Bank Jatim Surabaya Main Branch. The research method used is conducting qualitative and descriptive research using primary and secondary data source which is conducted by observation and interview at Bank Jatim Surabaya Main Branch. The results obtained are procedures and implementation of rupiah demand deposits has a very important role for customers and Bank Jatim. The implication of this research is expected to improve the performance of Bank Jatim to achieve customer satisfaction in using rupiah demand deposit product at Bank Jatim Surabaya Main Branch.
