Abstract

This study aims to determine effects of the profitability (ROE), liquidity (CR), firm size (Ln-Assets)) and sales growth toward capital structure (DER) in company of manufacturing listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange by period of 2011 to 2015. DER is a ratio that measures the level of use of corporate debt to total shareholders' equity. While profitability, liquidity, firm size and sales growth are used as a independent variable. This study uses type of secondary. The sample comes from 29 companies that meet the sample criteria based on purposive sampling technique with a total of 140 observational data. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with SPSS program, while hypothesis testing is using F test and t-test. The result of the research shows profitability, liquidity, company size and sales growth contribute 19.2% and showed that during the study period of 2011 to 2015 all variables simultaneously affect the dependent variable. Profitability and liquidity has a significant effect with the positive direction on capital structure. The other two variables, ei firm size and sales growth have no significant effect toward capital structure. Keywords: profitability, liquidity, size, sales growth, capital structure.
