Abstract
Debt becomes an alternative financing on escalated and expensive individual needs in this modern globalization era. The urge to employ debt takes place due to certain desires beyond income. Hopefully Surabaya people are capable of implementing their financial knowledge in debt management well and wisely. The research aims to discover the effect of financial knowledge, attitude towards money, and marital status on debt management behavior. 285 samples obtained from Surabaya people who work and own income. Data used was quantitative data obtained by questionnaire that spread to respondents. Sampling methods used was Purposive and Convenience Sampling. PLS-SEM analysis technique with the help of WarPLS 6.0 program was employed in this research. Result of the reseach shows that financial knowledge affects significantly towards debt management behavior, whereas attitudes towards money and marital status affects insignificantly towards debt management behavior.
