Abstract
Banking has a major role in the economy of a developing country and developed countries. Every economic actor in carrying out each activity certainly wants to make a profit or try to increase profits. Financial performance is a company that can measure the success of a company in generating profits, so that it can see the prospects, growth, and potential development of good companies by relying on available resources. This study aims to examine the effect of Operational Costs on Operating Expenses (BOPO), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Foreign Exchange on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2012-2016. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression. The results of the data analysis show that the Operational Costs of Operating Expenses (BOPO) affect the financial performance of banks, while the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) do not affect the financial performance of banks.
