Abstract
Dividend policy is a decision that must be taken by the company to determine whether the profits earned by the company will be distributed to shareholders as dividends or will be retained in the form of retained earnings which will then be used as funding for future investment. The dividend policy in this study is discribed by Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, managerial ownership, debt policy, and company size on dividend policy on consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2013-2016. The sampling method used is saturated sample method or sampling census with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The number of samples that used in this study are 137 companies. The results of the analysis show that Profitability, Managerial Ownership and Company Size simultaneously have a significant effect on dividend policy, while the debt policy simultaneously has no effect on dividend policy. Management should improve the company's performance so that it is expected to increase profitability in order to pay dividends and other company obligations.
