Abstract
Underpricing is a phenomenon that often occurs in companies that are doing Initial Public Offering (IPO). This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, percentage of stock quotes, inflation and underwriter reputation to the level of underpricing of shares. This research is conducted at Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), which is company which do IPO in year 2010 until year 2016. Underpricing as measured by initial return is dependent variable in this research. While the independent variables in this study are profitability, percentage of stock quotes, inflation and underwriter reputation. Sampling using purposive sampling method, which produces 79 companies as sample research. The results of multiple analysis indicate that profitability and underwriter reputation variables significantly influence the level of underpricing of stocks. While the variable percentage of stock quotes and inflation proved to have no significant effect on the occurrence of underpricing of shares.
