Abstract
Research has shown that a person’s values affect his behavior. While there has been considerable research regarding the ethical perception and behavior of business students, there has been limited research regarding the personal value that affect such perception and behavior. This study was designed to determine the differences between value and value types of accounting and non accounting majors, as well differences between value and types of male and females. The values survey questionnaire developed and validated by Schwartz (1992) was used for this study. The instrument, containing 56 values, was accounting and non accounting. Value types were derived by grouping responses to the 56 values. The results of this study showed a significant difference between accounting and non-accounting majors to 3 values, hedosim, tradition and conformity. by male and females there is only one distinct value is the value of tradition. Keyword : Perception of the value of student, professional public accountants, business managers.
