Abstract
Financial management is a important activity for a family or inviduals which has a purpose to achieve financial welfare. Being lack of literacy or knowledgemight cause a failure to manage the money for a good use. Furthermore, people’s attitude toward money might also affect the money management itself. Therefore, having a sufficient literacy and wise money attitude on financial management is necessary to have a responsible financial management behavior. This research has a purpose to examine the influence of financial literacy and attitude toward money on household financial management behavior. This study used questionnaires which distributed to 250 respondents on Gresik, Mojokerto, Surabaya, and Sidoarjo. The sampling method was using the purposive sampling which based on householder with a minimum income of IDR 4,000,000 per month.The results showed that financial literacy and attitude toward money had no significant influence on household financial management behavior.
