Abstract

Nowadays, every Indonesian society generally has invested with the desire to have a decent life. When people at productive age or married already, they would like to buy asset or other products as deposits in the future until they were retired. This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy, repres entativeness, familiarity and risk perception on the investment decisions. Data analyzed by MRA or multiple regression analysis. There are 117 peoples becomes respondents of this study who are living in Surabaya or Sidoarjo, also they are who already has a job and have minimum income that is four million Rupiah per month, and has one or more of investment assets both in real assets or financial assets. The result found that financial literacy had negative effect on investment decisions but not significant, however representativeness and familiarity have a positive no significant effect on investment decisions, and also the results of risk perception has negative significant effect on investment d ecisions in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. Key words : Financial Literacy, Representativeness, Familiarity, Risk Perception, and Investment Decisions.
