Abstract
Financial management behavior becomes very important because of failures in financial management will have a negative impact in the short them and the long term. But if the income managed properly and wisely, then it is possible that the family can live in peace, happy and prosperous. There are many things that can affect the financial management behavior, such as locus of control, financial attitude and intention by intervening variable. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of the locus of control, financial attitude and intention on the behavior of household financial management behavior. This study uses survey by distributing questionnaires to 202 respondents who are in household financial management and is domiciled in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. The sampling technique used purposive sampling by a family with a total income of at least Rp 4,000,000 per month. By using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with SPSS 20.0 for Windows. The results showed that the locus of control having positive impact and significant on family financial management behavior and financial attitude having positive impact and not significant on family financial management behavior. And the last, intention have mediated financial attitude to family financial management behavior. Keywords: Financial Management Behavior, Locus of Control, Financial Attitude, Intention
