Abstract
Many factors may affect investors in making investment decision, some of them are risk toleran ce, overconfidence, and financial literacy. Those factors thought to have an influence on investment decision making. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of risk tolerance, overconfidence, and financial literacy on investment decision makin g of Surabaya’s society. This study used purposive sampling method. Research objects of this study are investors who lived in Surabaya. There are 100 respondents taken from questionnaire by survey method. To answer the problem and test the hypothesis propo sed in this study, the researcher used multiple regression analysis. The result of this study showed that risk tolerance, overconfidence, and financial literacy simultaneously have a significant influence on investment decision, and financial literacy part ially have a significant influence on investment decision, but risk tolerance has not. Key words: investment decision making, risk tolerance, overconfidence, financial literacy .
