Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze how working capital (cash turnover ratio, account receivable turnover ratio, inventory turnover ratio, and working capital turnover ratio) can effect profitability (Return On Assets) in manufacturer company which is listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange.I have selected 115 of manufacturer company listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange for 5 years period from 2008-2012. Classical assumption analysis and regression analysis are used for this research.The results show that there is strong negative relationship between variables of working capital and profitability of the firm. It means that as cash turnover and receivable turnover increases it will lead to decreasing profitability of the firm. So managers can decrease cash turnover and receivable turnover into minimum level to create a positive value for shareholders.
