Abstract
this study aims to examine the effect of good corporate governance to companies performance to the firm size as variabel control (the empirical study on the manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange (IDX)2008-2012). The data used was obtained from the Indonesia Capital Market Directory and idx.co.id. The number of samples used is 53 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Technical analysis is linear regression, normality test, descriptive analysis and significance test. The results of this study indicate that good corporate governance with variable This result indicates that the size of the board of directors, audit committees have a significant effect on the performance of the company. While the board size, managerial ownership and firm size as a control variable has no significant effect on the company performance. this suggests that corporate governance is able to control the company well. due to the application of corporate governance is believed to increase the value of companies that ultimately can improve the company performance performance.
