Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of self-control and financial literacy on the consumptive behavior of Generation Z e-wallet users in Surabaya City, as well as the role of financial technology as a moderating variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total of 150 Generation Z respondents who actively use e-wallets in Surabaya City. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that self control does not have a negative effect on consumptive behavior, although it has a statistically significant relationship between self control and financial literacy on consumptive behavior and does not have a significant direct effect on the consumptive behavior of Generation Z. Key Words: Self control, Financial Literacy, Financial Technology, Consumptive Behavior, E-wallet
