Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test and analyze the effect of work environment, work discipline on employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable. Respondents taken were employees of Simokerto Subdistrict totaling 122 respondents. The study used quantitative research methods, data collection methods through surveys, questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of the SmartPLS application. The results of this study indicate that the work environment has an effect but not significant on employee performance, discipline has an effect and is significant to performance, motivation has a significant effect on performance, the environment has a significant effect on motivation, discipline has a significant effect on motivation, motivation mediates significantly between the environment and performance, motivation does not mediate discipline on performance. The implication of this research is the provision of motivation to improve the quality and quantity of employee performance in order to achieve the goals of the organization.
